Clay Workshop: Fertility & Loss

This handbuilding workshop is created as a quiet and supportive space for women who are experiencing infertility, pregnancy loss, or the complex emotions that can come with the fertility journey. Working with clay can be grounding and meditative. In this session, we will slow down, work with our hands, and create simple ceramic pieces in a calm and welcoming environment. No previous experience with clay is needed. Participants will use approximately 350 grams of clay to create a small handbuilt piece. The focus of this workshop is not perfection, but the process of making—allowing the hands to work while the mind and body soften. You are welcome to talk and share if you wish, but there is no expectation to do so. This space is simply here to hold whatever you bring with you that day. The workshop includes clay, tools, guidance from the teacher, and the finishing of one selected piece. After the session, your piece will be glazed with a transparent studio glaze and fired in the kiln. Your finished work will be ready for pickup in the studio in approximately 4 weeks. This session is intended to be a gentle, supportive environment solely for women navigating fertility challenges or pregnancy loss.
